Hi!
Welcome to my new blog! Thanks to my daughter-in-law, Rachel, it's up and ready to go! Like so many people my age, this computer thing is new and a bit scary to me. But I'm willing to learn. I thought it was something this past year when I learned to e-mail! Whoopee! Then when I was able to look up some things on the inter net, I was thrilled half out of my mind!!
Anyway, I am trying my best.
In this blog, I will be sharing things about my family, and, in particular, about my son, Trent, who is 27 years old and has Down Syndrome. My husband and I are in the process of research. Our desire is to someday, in the not too far away future, establish Christian group homes, or as we prefer to call them, Family Homes for people with special needs. The need is great; I quote one father of a son with special needs, who said, "Let me live one day longer." All of us who have children with special needs heartily agree with those words. We know the probability of that is not good, so we must prepare for their future--a future without us. Please pray for us in this endeavor--and watch for future information.
